We’re expanding our Zagreb Engineering Centre of Excellence with a new Suite team, focused on bringing together capabilities from across F24’s existing product portfolio and helping shape the next generation of our platform.
We’re looking for a Software Engineer with a backend focus who has solid commercial development experience and is ready to take the next step in their career within a collaborative, product-led engineering environment.

You’ll join a small engineering team working on a modern platform that brings together capabilities from multiple existing F24 products.You’ll primarily work across Node.js and Python backend services, developing APIs and contributing to the ongoing modernisation of the Suite platform.This is a great opportunity for someone who already has a good foundation in backend engineering but wants to continue developing their technical skills, gain greater ownership and learn from experienced engineers around them.
You
- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python
- Build and maintain REST APIs that integrate capabilities across F24 products
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new platform features
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Troubleshoot issues and contribute to improvements across existing services
- Work closely with Frontend, Product, Design and QA throughout feature delivery
- Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD processes
- Develop your understanding of scalable, secure and maintainable backend architecture
- Take increasing ownership of features from development through to production
What You'll Bring
- Commercial software engineering experience with Node.js
- Experience with NestJS, Express or Fastify
- Experience designing, building or consuming REST APIs
- Good understanding of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Understanding of backend development principles and clean coding practices
- Experience working with databases and data-driven applications
- Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
- Understanding of automated testing
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills
- Comfortable collaborating within a cross-functional engineering team
- An interest in developing your skills across architecture, cloud-native development and distributed systems
